INTRODUCTION
This photography adventure day didn’t quite turn out as we had hoped. The plan was to travel to the region of Cathedral Range State Park (Taggety, Victoria – Australia} and do a number of walks, take great photos and then go home satisfied. The Cathedral Range is a spectacular seven kilometre ridge of sharply upturned sedimentary rock. Well, we were a little ambitious – to say the least! We knew the walks could be challenging, and especially for our age being that we are in our mid-sixties. But somehow, in our minds, we thought we would be able to managed the walks and climbs at this location. On our arrival early morning, and upon reading the signage about the said walks and trails, we came to realise that we were not ‘experienced advanced climbers’! So no walking the trails for us and travelling along the dirt road, in the car, became the limit for us on this particular day. I had to contend myself with just being able to take photographs of small portions of the region from the roadside instead of panorama versions others have been able to achieve. Oh the joys of getting older! My hubby did get some fishing in at Thornton Goulburn River which made him happy. And we drove through Molesworth, Buxton and the Highlands on our way back home which proved to be a very nice drive, also captured some worthy photographs as we went. But it wasn’t our best photography adventure day, still we got out-and-about and that is always very good…

PHOTOGRAPHY EQUIPMENT USED
During this landscape photography exercise – I used a compact system camera, a Sony A7 Mark II – Full Frame with a Sony A FE24-240mm F3.5-6.3 OSS Lens. For most of these photographs I used the camera mounted on a tripod with a remote timer and for some, I handheld the camera, ensuring I had engaged the camera’s stabiliser. I also used my Apple iPhone 8 Plus mobile phone for quick spontaneous photographs and gain GPS location readings.

THE PHOTOGRAPHS
On my return home, I downloaded all the photographs into Adobe Lightroom Classic CC. I developed a small selection of photographs. During the process of developing them I was able to see what I needed to address during my next photographic adventure. CONCLUSION
Being out-and-about experiencing the natural wonders of the world really does rejuvenate the body and soul. Photography is just another way to improve one’s sense of wellbeing and at the same time – be creative.

I especially like the photo with the windmill. Human things dwarfed by the landscape. Just great. Also like the bridge photos.
