INTRODUCTION

After our recent photography adventure to the Lake Eildon region, we decided to venture back and visit another part of Lake Eildon, Victoria – Australia.  Another early morning rise meant we were able to arrive on scene at a good part of the day for me to capture photographs.  As we travelled through Devils River and Taylor Bay along the Skyline Road, I was able to photograph incredible panoramic views of Lake Eildon. Early morning mist and clouds gently hang over the lake and throughout the surrounding tree-covered mountainous terrain.  Later that morning we finished up our journey at Lake Eildon Spillway Lookout on Embankment Road.  Here we were able to view Lake Eildon closeup on what ended up being a beautiful winter’s day.  The pretty blue skies and the lake itself was truly a magical sight.  It was a long drive there and back home again, but so worth the effort…

PHOTOGRAPHY EQUIPMENT USED

During this photography adventure – I used a compact system camera, a Sony A7 Mark II – Full Frame with a Sony A FE24-240mm F3.5-6.3 OSS lens. Recently I had purchased a Right Angle L Plate Bracket for my camera so that I could turn it to do portraits or landscape photographs more easily which worked a treat.  I also purchased a BH-40 Ballhead for my tripod and once more, it made taking my photographs not just easier but much more enjoyable. I also used my Apple iPhone 8 Plus mobile phone for quick spontaneous photographs and gain GPS location readings.

THE PHOTOGRAPHS

On my return home, I downloaded all the photographs into Adobe Lightroom Classic CC.  I developed a small selection of photographs During the process of developing then I was able to see what I needed to address during my next photographic adventure.   Please find both above and below, the best of what I took during this photography adventure!

CONCLUSION

Being out-and-about experiencing the natural wonders of the world and the creatures it inhabits – really does rejuvenate the body and soul.  Photography is just another way to improve one’s sense of wellbeing and at the same time – be creative!

    • Hi Claudia, the views from Skyline Road were amazing with the morning mist resting on Lake Eildon. I am finding that photographing during winter can offer some wonderful opportunities to capture the landscape with mist and cloud. The air is so clean and the days where to sunshine just illuminates the natural world is amazing…warm regards Karen
