“Photography: Painting and Drawing with Light”
“Man re-arranging hats…”
INTRODUCTION
This wasn’t a planned photography adventure but a welcome change from my usual creative endeavours! On my way to meeting up with a friend for lunch within the heart of Melbourne CBD, Victoria – Australia, I had a little bit of time on my hands before meeting up and I decided to take some street photography style shots. I only had my iPhone with me on this day but it was for me a better choice of photography equipment. Most people these days use mobile phones for photography and don’t become distracted by another in a crowd using one. So it meant people just went about their daily business unconcerned about me taking photographs. I found it very interesting and provided me with a new photography challenge trying to work out what worked and what didn’t…
“Mother and daughter making a big decision…”
PHOTOGRAPHY EQUIPMENT USED
During this photography adventure – I only used my Apple iPhone 8 Plus mobile phone for quick spontaneous photographs and gain GPS location readings.
“Man with a suitcase…”
THE PHOTOGRAPHS
On my return home, I downloaded all the photographs into Adobe Lightroom Classic. I developed a small selection of photographs. During the process of developing then I was able to see what I needed to address during my next photographic adventure. Please find above only, the best of what I took during this photography adventure!
“Shadow city walkers…”
“Lunchtime in a big city…”
CONCLUSION
Being out-and-about doing Street Photography in a big city is challenging but very interesting and a wonderful way to be creative!

Hi Jessica
Thank you and with just only having to worry about using an iPhone instead of my usual camera, it made the whole process easier. Understandably the quality of the image is not as good but better than not taking any at all I say….warm regards Karen
