“Photography: Painting and Drawing with Light”
INTRODUCTION
Our Victorian Government announced a reduction of some restrictions relating to social distancing and the Coronavirus this week. This has meant we were able to venture out and undertake a photography adventure. We need to note that as Australians we are so fortunate to live in a country where the impact of this virus has been far less devastating when compared with some other parts of the world. This statement of mine isn’t to lessen the fact that many Australians have been impacted either via loss of life, experienced serious illness caused by the virus, loss of employment, loss of livelihoods, financial ruin, limited contact with family, friends and work colleagues, and generally feeling traumatised by this unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic. So hubby and I feel most fortunate to be able to do what we do at this time in our lives…
The photograph above I manage to capture at a location where a small bridge crossed over the Delatie River. Here can be seen the river peacefully winding its way down through a scene where varying types of trees lined its banks. Being autumn, some of the trees were displaying beautiful autumn colours that help to light up the image. Far in the distance, Mount Buller with its snow-capped mount top can be seen. A pretty blue sky, dotted with a small trail of white fluffy clouds seemed to complete this magical autumn landscape!

CONCLUSION
Photography is just another way to improve one’s sense of wellbeing and at the same time – be creative. Being out-and-about experiencing the natural wonders of the world and the creatures it inhabits is a real privilege for sure. It really does rejuvenate the body and soul.
