INTRODUCTION

Another short photography adventure.  This time to the region of Trawool, Victoria – Australia. A lovely drive along Greenslopes Road revealed honey-coloured grasslands, granite statue-like boulders, and gum trees with lush green foliage evidence of receiving good rainfalls during last winter. Tree covered mountain ranges, waterholes with actual water still in them, and glimpses of the Goulburn River all made for a beautiful Australian landscape scene.

Above Photograph:  The above landscape photograph features huge granite boulders resting on a hill and looks out over towards a line of trees where the Goulburn River gently rolls by.  Far into the distance, near these trees, little black dots are actually cattle which helps demonstrate the size and distance of this landscape.

Below Photograph:  The below landscape photograph was taken by my hubby on my mobile phone for a GPS reading.  It helps the viewer appreciate just how big this landscape is and how large those granite boulders are!  I am just there in front of one with my camera equipment, photographing the scene.

Below Photographs:  The bird photos below were taken on our way back home along the same road and beside the Goulburn River.  Access was difficult due to the high riverbanks.  But while waiting for my hubby while he fished, I managed to get a couple of bird photos, not as good as I would have liked, couldn’t get close enough and my bird lens couldn’t get close enough either.  But it’s nice to have them anyway.  One a Grey Fantail drying off in the sun on some bush twigs and the other a Sulphur Crested Cockatoo resting in a beautiful River Gumtree.

CONCLUSION

Photography is just another way to improve one’s sense of wellbeing and at the same time – be creative. Being out-and-about experiencing the wonders of the world and the creatures it inhabits is a real privilege for sure. It really does rejuvenate the body and soul.
