“Painting and Drawing with Light”

 

 

INTRODUCTION

Another photography adventure with the Craigieburn Camera Club at Williamstown, Victoria – Australia around Williamstown Newport Foreshore! The club members were required to look for particular subjects to photograph.  I managed to photograph most during the timeframe given – a bit of a mixed bag of images.  The weather wasn’t the best, overcast and dull.  It was unusually quiet around the region with restaurants and cafes still struggling due to COVID-19 business restrictions.  Usually, the area would be swamped with people but it did make for a more pleasurable strolling atmosphere.

Above Photography:  The above street/documentary photograph is part of the Gem Pier.  It incorporates reflections and I decided to develop it as a black and white image.

 

 

Above Photography:  The above street/documentary photograph shows off the HMAS Castlemaine Ship docked at Gem Pier.  The pier offers great leading lines taking the viewer straight to the main subject matter and up into the stormy sky.

 

 

Above Photography:  The above street/documentary photograph features seagulls patiently waiting for food shared by humans as they passed by the shoreline.

 

 

Above Photograph:  The street/documentary photographs above feature people going about their day, enjoying the surroundings and their leisure time with family and friends.

 

 

Above Photograph:  The street/documentary photograph above features a seaplane landing and making its way towards land for docking.

 

 

Above Photograph:  The street/documentary photographs above feature motorbikes and the bikers taking a timeout from their ride.  Enjoying the sights the local area offered!

 

CONCLUSION

Photography is just another way to improve one’s sense of wellbeing and at the same time – be creative. Being out-and-about experiencing the wonders of the world and the creatures it inhabits is a real privilege for sure. It really does rejuvenate the body and soul.
