INTRODUCTION

This photography adventure had us heading back to the Mount Macedon Region, Victoria – Australia.  Being the last days of Autumn, I hoped to capture some images of trees displaying autumn coloured leaves.  Fortunately, we found Alton Road which offered a beautiful display of trees lining its course.  Here we stopped and I took the opportunity to spend some time photographing colourful Autumn leaves close up!  It was wonderful to get out-and-about again and experience this lovely region.

The above image of beautiful golden-yellow autumn leaves appear like dancing ballerina’s balancing in mid air…

A view from the road of spindly trees and a scattering of coloured autumn leaves created an interesting abstract image.  I decided to make this into a monochrome image because the backlighting help detail the trees well.

The star of this image is the Autumn leaves as they held tight to their spindly dark stems.

CONCLUSION

Photography is just another way to improve one’s sense of wellbeing and at the same time – be creative. Being out-and-about experiencing the natural wonders of the world and the creatures it inhabits is a real privilege for sure. It really does rejuvenate the body and soul.
