INTRODUCTION

During this photography adventure, my hubby and I stopped at Eildon where views of the Goulburn River were magnificent.  The early morning light created beautiful river reflections of Wattle trees in bloom!  Their bright yellow colouring against the blue of the river was just magical.  I was pleased to be able to capture these images knowing that the wattle will only last a few months and by the time we would come back to this location – they would no longer be flowering.  Such a beautiful day and near the end of this year’s winter. It’s the best time of the year to come and visit this region as it is looking it’s best…

PHOTOGRAPHY EQUIPMENT USED

During this photography adventure – I used a compact system camera, a Sony A7 Mark II – Full Frame with a Sony A FE24-240mm F3.5-6.3 OSS lens. Recently I had purchased a Right Angle L Plate Bracket for my camera so that I could turn it to do portraits or landscape photographs more easily which worked a treat.  I also purchased a BH-40 Ballhead for my tripod and once more, it made taking my photographs not just easier but much more enjoyable. I also used my Apple iPhone 8 Plus mobile phone for quick spontaneous photographs and gain GPS location readings.

THE PHOTOGRAPHS

On my return home, I downloaded all the photographs into Adobe Lightroom Classic CC.  I developed a small selection of photographs During the process of developing then I was able to see what I needed to address during my next photographic adventure.   Please find above only, the best of what I took during this photography adventure!

CONCLUSION

Being out-and-about experiencing the natural wonders of the world and the creatures it inhabits – really does rejuvenate the body and soul.  Photography is just another way to improve one’s sense of wellbeing and at the same time – be creative!

INTRODUCTION

For this post, I am just showing the one photograph I took which is not like me but I felt it so beautiful that not sharing it would have been disappointing.  It’s a view from the bridge crossing over the Goulburn River, Thornton, Victoria – Australia.  We decided to get up early for a photography adventure that being 4am which meant we were able to catch the sunrise at this location.  Within minutes, the sunrise changed colour with wonderful water reflections of the sky above on the river’s surface.  The riverbanks curled along and up into the distance giving the effect of lace edging as the sunlight bathed the surrounding landscape in warm golden yellow and orange.  Just wonderful being able to witness the beginning of a new day…

INTRODUCTION

This photography adventure took place on my hubby’s 66th Birthday.  Our daughter, son-in-law and grand-daughter took us out for a fishing day for his birthday along the Goulburn River, Seymour, Victoria – Australia.  It was a beautiful day, hubby caught a fish and I managed to take some photographs of the river, birds such as Masked Lapwing also known as Spur-winged Plover, Crimson Rosellas, Sulphur Crested Cockatoo, a pair of Sacred Kingfishers and a native honey beehive that was housed in a gumtree trunk knot!  Daughter Kelly enjoyed some time with her father while her hubby looked after their baby daughter.  We enjoyed our time together creating importance family memories…
