INTRODUCTION

During this photography adventure hubby and I travelled to a rural location called High Camp, Victoria – Australia for the third time within the last couple of weeks!  It is just an hour from where we live and I wanted to capture photographs of another sunset within this region.  It was a hot afternoon and the early evening remained just as hot!  But an evening breeze helped cool us down as we spent an hour or so, just watching the day come to an end.  The looming clouds across the sky helped to create some dramatic sights.  I manage to find a spot that had a run of huge granite boulders along a ridge where the sun set just behind them.  Blackbirds drifted into view as I was taking some of the shots and the above photograph ended up being my favourite taken during this particular photography adventure.  Just simply beautiful…

PHOTOGRAPHY EQUIPMENT USED

During this photography adventure – I used a compact system camera, a Sony A7 Mark II – Full Frame with a Sony A FE24-240mm F3.5-6.3 OSS lens. Recently I had purchased a Right Angle L Plate Bracket for my camera so that I could turn it to do portraits or landscape photographs more easily which worked a treat.  I also purchased a BH-40 Ballhead for my tripod and once more, it made taking my photographs not just easier but much more enjoyable. I also used my Apple iPhone 8 Plus mobile phone for quick spontaneous photographs and gain GPS location readings.

THE PHOTOGRAPHS

On my return home, I downloaded all the photographs into Adobe Lightroom Classic.  I developed a small selection of photographs During the process of developing then I was able to see what I needed to address during my next photographic adventure.   Please find here above and below, the best of what I took during this photography adventure!

CONCLUSION

Being out-and-about experiencing the natural wonders of the world and the creatures it inhabits – really does rejuvenate the body and soul. Photography is just another way to improve one’s sense of wellbeing and at the same time – be creative!

INTRODUCTION

During this photography adventure hubby and I travelled to a rural location called High Camp, Victoria – Australia for the second time within the last couple of weeks!  It is just an hour from where we live and I wanted to capture photographs of the sunset within this region.  Beautiful warm summer night and a glorious sunset had us meandering at High Camp for some time, just enjoying the evening light and the great outdoors.  So worth the effort of driving there late in the day. A good to be alive feeling for sure…

INTRODUCTION

This photography adventure with hubby was just a short stint from home, up towards an area called Beveridge, Victoria – Australia.  There I took some photographs of a glorious sunset that could be seen from the local Golf Course.  Positing myself looking over the white rose bushes, over the pruned green golf course, and up towards the mountain range in the distance, we were able to view, a beautiful golden sunset.  The evening was warm for an autumn nightfall which meant, standing at this location was very pleasant.  Hubby and I afterwards then also enjoyed a pizza at the Golf Course Bistro – the end to a perfect day!

On an other occasion, I had the opportunity to take more photographs at this location but further along from the original spot.  Here, we spotted kangaroos resting, feeding and just taking in the end of day moments I feel…

INTRODUCTION

It’s definitely summer time now, here in Victoria, Australia with some day-time temperatures souring up around 40 celsius. On this day, the temperature was in the low 30’s with the sun bearing down on vast stretches of grass fields, turning them from winter’s lush green to summer’s golden brown. It’s a thirsty land at this time of the year! Waterholes, small creeks and rivers become important places for native wildlife to congregate, where they take in their daily fresh water requirements. Sulphur Crested Cockatoos were abundant along this stretch of Glenrowan and Moyhu Road. But for me, trying to catch them within a photograph is not my forte sadly. Well…maybe next time!

INTRODUCTION

My hubby and I, once more, were out-and-about on another photography adventure.  This time I managed to capture a glorious sunrise on a property called ‘Marylands’ situated within Euroa, Victoria – Australia. The early morning was just beautiful, and all that could be heard were the native birds calling out – welcoming a new day! Cattle grazed quietly in the far distance fields as the dawn-sun, pushed its way up over the tree-lined crest. This particular photograph below was taken on my Apple iPhone. It truly captures the whole early morning scene!  At the helm of my camera in readiness to photograph moments of the ever advancing sunrise, I wait and watch, and take pleasure in this earthly experience…
