INTRODUCTION

My first attended meeting with the Craigieburn Camera Club involved taking photographs of creatures provided by Aussie Wildlife Displays – Australian Animals.  While I didn’t have a macro lens as such, I made-do with the lens (re below for details) I had.  It was a challenge for sure, working out the right camera settings, and trying to get the right positioning of the camera in order to take a photograph that I was going to be happy with once developed within Lightroom 6.

PHOTOGRAPHY EQUIPMENT USED

During this miscellaneous photography exercise – I used a compact system camera, a Sony A7 Mark II – Full Frame with a Sony A FE24-240mm F3.5-6.3 OSS Lense. For all of the shots, I used the camera mounted on a tripod with a remote timer.  Each photography adventure helps me learn more about my camera and lens; and hopefully helps me becoming a better photographer. I also used my Apple iPhone 8 Plus mobile phone for quick spontaneous photographs and gain GPS location readings.

THE PHOTOGRAPHS

On my return home, I downloaded all the photographs into Adobe Lightroom 6.  I developed a small selection of photographs During the process of developing them I was able to see what I needed to address during my next photographic adventure.

My favourite creature photographed during this Craigieburn Camera Club – “Aussie Wildlife Displays of Australian Animals” Macro Photography exercise was the impressive ‘Tawny Frogmouth Owl’. His quiet manner and grey layered feathering, and stealth posing made him a perfect subject to photograph. Please find both above and below, the best of what I took during this particular photography C.C.C. exercise.

CONCLUSION

Photography is just another way I choose to improve my sense of wellbeing and at the same time – be creative!  It definitely works for me and once more I finished up my photography experience in high spirits…

Happy photography all!
