INTRODUCTION

WE ARE READY FOR THE LAUNCH!

‘Photographic Portraits of Nature – by Karen Robinson’

Selecting the 42 archival limited edition FineArt prints from my (Karen Robinson) overall photographic collection to exhibit, preparing/documenting and signing of prints, framing prints, producing information booklets for the exhibition, formulating short videos for three locations within the Gallery, transporting prints to the Gallery, handing across to Hume City Council Staff to then put together the Gallery Exhibition has been one big effort – all done and ready to go now!

The Robinson Family would like to extend an invitation to the launch of ‘PHOTOGRAPHIC PORTRAITS OF NATURE by Karen Robinson’ to help raise funds for Amber Community Organisation (formerly known as Road Trauma Support Services Victoria).

Where:  Town Hall Broadmeadows Gallery, Town Hall Broadmeadows, 10 Dimboola Road, Broadmeadows

RSVP:  Essential Please via Eventbrite Light refreshments provided (just so Hume City Council know how many people to cater for)

Exhibition dates:  28th November 2022 through to 5th February 2023

Prints will be available for purchase, either framed or unframed details available at the exhibition.  All monies received from the sale of prints from the ‘Photographic Portraits of Nature by Karen Robinson’ Exhibition at the Broadmeadows Town Hall will be fully donated to the Amber Community Organisation from the Robinson Family in memory of Ben James Robinson, our son killed in a single car crash 2009 at the age of 25 years old.

Amber Community is a not-for-profit organisation contributing to the safety and well-being of road users.  They provide counselling and support to people impacted by road trauma and address the attitudes and behaviours of road users through education.  Counselling services are provided free of charge to anyone who has been impacted by a road incident.”

The Robinson Family ask that the Amber Community Organisation award the said donated funds received to be put towards an ‘Expressive Arts Creative Writing Program’ to help support Amber Community Organisation volunteers who have been impacted by road trauma.

CONCLUSION

Photography is just another way to improve one’s sense of well-being and at the same time – be creative. Being out and about experiencing the natural wonders of the world and the creatures it inhabits is a real privilege for sure. It really does rejuvenate the body and soul.

Happy photography all – © Karen Robinson – November 2022
