About Abstract Digital Photo Painting:-
Abstract Digital Photo Painting was another way I could be creative! The whole process from selecting the subject matter; to the setting up of the photoshoot; to uploading and then selecting photos to digitally manipulate into abstract digital painting artwork pieces – proved to be most therapeutic. It totally engaged my thinking processes thus alienating disabling thoughts and emotions. It was a great pathway into using art for therapy. The process of painting, painting story writing and digital photo painting has offered me a way of expressing thoughts and emotions which can be difficult to say out loud. I also came to the understanding that art can be a very powerful way of communicating with others. Therapy via art gave me a voice…
My art therapy journey has been an important part of recent years and still will be an important part in years to come. I am hoping that sharing my art therapy journey, will inspire others, to take up art therapy to find their voice – to be able to move forward in the most difficult of times. Art Therapy has brought me now to a much better place where I find myself being able to seek joy each day. As an ongoing process, I will be blogging about my art therapy journey “moving forward” and expand on how others have used/are using art therapy to assist physical and emotional well-being. Great and amazing so many images. How do you show them ? o pit some om canvas but looked flat people wanted old glued work Do you photo print them .

Hello Barb – thank you for taking the time out to view my weblog, it is much appreciated. Yes I am a lover of taking photos and take photos of all the work that I do. I firstly download them onto my computer and resize them for ‘web uee’ for my weblog. Once I have done this, I them upload into my weblog gallery for use. This ensures they upload as quickly as possible when someone visits my weblog. I do print off one single photo copy of my art work and place in my Portfolio of art work for a hard copy reference. As you have said, art can be life saving and I am so glad you have been able to use art to help with your wellbeing. I really loved your painting of the elephant, it is so touching and at the same time very powerful. Keep on painting and telling your story…sincerely Karen
