“Painting and Drawing with Light”
INTRODUCTION
Once again – good fortune came my way. I was asked to give a presentation at my local community camera club about the process involved in preparing for my solo exhibition with Hume City Council, Broadmeadows Townhall Gallery, Broadmeadows, Victoria – Australia. To give a clear understanding of each step involved, I produced a PowerPoint Presentation I talked alongside during my presentation to the group. I also had items of interest that I could pass around during the presentation for the group to see and feel so they could better appreciate their uses. The following are the PPP slides:

CONCLUSION
During and at the end of the presentation the group asked questions and/or made statements. It was pleasing to receive from the Camera Club members comments on how they appreciated having the opportunity to understand what needed to be undertaken to carry out a photography solo exhibition. For me and my husband, it was great to be able to share what we had learned and experienced – a win-win for all I felt!
Photography overall – is just another way to improve my sense of well-being and at the same time – helps me be creative. Being out and about experiencing the natural wonders of the world and the creatures it inhabits is a real privilege for sure. It really does rejuvenate the body and soul – it makes me happy…

It’s something that’s often glossed over- the behind the scenes work. I always like finding out this kind of thing. Sounds like an interesting session!

Thank you for your comment Claudia as that is an interesting response, because some of the Club Members noted just that…that they didn’t realise how much went into organising an exhibition from the creator’s perspective. Overall – the audience was appreciative of the insight.
