This week Craigieburn Camera Club conducted its July Zoom Club Photography meeting to present the July 2020 Photographic Competition “All Creatures Great and Small”. In the Intermediate Section, I received a Merit Award for the above photograph of a Sumatran Orangutan grooming himself while sitting in the warm morning sun.
I was thrilled to have received this award and thankful to the club for working out a way to continue on with these events despite the limitations we all facing currently because of COVID-19 restrictions.
Being out-and-about experiencing the natural wonders of the world and the creatures it inhabits – really does rejuvenate the body and soul. But over the months to come – these adventures will need to be put on hold and/or restricted due to COVID-19 pandemic. It will be a time to discover home photography – perhaps Macro! Photography is just another way to improve one’s sense of wellbeing and at the same time – be creative!
